The Zabelstein ruins are a wonderful place. The remains of the castle, the rest area with kiosk and the observation tower are inviting. A childhood memory!

Absolutely worth seeing. If you open the door, you can look into the inner workings of the bee hotel. An experience not just for children.

Dogs are not allowed up... there are boxes to rent at the entrance 🙄

It's worth a visit. Beautiful hiking trails, also some ideas for the kids

On the open-ended scale of the world's best hiking routes, this is probably one of the highlights in Lower Franconia: In Zell am Ebersberg in the Haßberge mountains south of Knetzgau, a route starts that couldn't possibly be more adventurous.
