A beautiful town with the castle as its highlight. The castle is open in the summer from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The forecourt and the castle garden are freely accessible. There is an admission fee for the castle itself and the exhibitions. As of 2025, the fee is €7 per person. But it's definitely worth it.

Cadolzburg Castle is an impressive medieval fortress perched on a prominent rocky outcrop above the town of the same name in Bavaria. Its history dates back to the 12th century, and for a long time it was an important base for the burgraves of Nuremberg, later known as the Hohenzollerns. The castle served not only as a defensive structure but also as an administrative center and temporary residence. Today, the castle houses a modern interactive museum called "HerrschaftsZeiten!" (HerrschaftsZeiten!), which vividly conveys the history of the Hohenzollerns in Franconia and Brandenburg.

From here on, the Rednitz, after it has now absorbed the Pegnitz, is called Regnitz. The point of land to Überplanken certainly has the advantage that you don't have to deal with mud or wild growth. The disadvantage is that the boards, despite the corrugations, quickly turn into a slide as soon as they get wet.

Anyone looking for relaxation will quickly find what they are looking for here. With a bit of luck, you can even have the rest area to yourself so that you can switch off completely and listen to the rushing of the water in the water wheel

The confluence of the Rednitz and Pegnitz is located in Wiesengrund in Fürth below today's Fürth main cemetery. It can be reached from the old town, or from the east of the city and from the north via the Friedhofsteg over the Pegnitz and from the west of the city, Kapellenruh, via the Käppnersteg over the Rednitz. The "confluence of the Rednitz and Pegnitz" is also simply called the "river triangle" or popularly simply the "Spitz". From here on, the Rednitz, after it has now absorbed the Pegnitz, is then called the Regnitz. The current location of the "Spitz" was created in the first half of the 20th century (presumably between 1910 and 1930) by straightening the Rednitz. Before that, the Rednitz turned sharply to the right after passing the Käppnersteg and joined the Pegnitz west of the Friedhofsteg (Wikipedia).

There is a water wheel festival here - usually on the Saturday after Ascension Day. The water wheels are dismantled and stored over the winter

The Stadeln water wheel (water wheel) was constructed at the suggestion of Günter Brand from Stadeln based on historical models, built at a former water wheel location[1] and put into operation on July 26, 1991. According to the old water law, it may only be operated from April 1st to September 30th; in the winter months it is removed and stored. During the summer months it is a popular destination for families and cyclists. https://www.fuerthwiki.de/wiki/index.php/Stadelner_Wasserrad
