The statue of Hungarian pain, which depicts Hungary mutilated during the peace that ended World War I. The statue was commissioned by Lord Rothermere from the Frenchman Emile Guillaume when he saw that he had succeeded in awakening the sense of justice in the European nations. The inscription on the pedestal of the statue: this statue symbolizes the pain of Hungary mourning the fate of its children kidnapped by the Treaty of Trianon.

It was originally built for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1911, so it was just 100 years old in 2011. On this occasion, the decorative works of the building were beautifully renovated, three of which can be seen on the facade. Above the entrance are two allegorical sculptures, the relief that runs (almost) around the dome, and graceful female figures holding the globe.

Full-length bust in bronze; the figure is 215 cm, the candelabra is 470 cm high. Lőrinc Szabó has such ties to Debrecen that he studied here for a while at the Reformed College.

Kossuth tér is the central square in Debrecen, around which numerous historical buildings are gathered. The Great Reformed Church in the background gives the square a very monumental appearance; it owes its actual name to the Kossuth monument in front of the church. The Debrecen city coat of arms, which is carved into the ground as a mosaic, and the fountain with the statue of a phoenix bird are further attractions of one of the most beautiful places in Hungary.
