A very large parking lot

A wonderful lake with many recreational opportunities. A beautiful bike path around the lake.

Also worth a visit in the season between winter and spring.

Just like in the other section up the street, if it's open you'd have to pay €2 a day. According to the internet the place is closed on Mondays, so all the machines are also closed (I understand the logic...)

Do you fancy water sports or just relaxing on the beach? Both are possible at Hahnenkammsee. And if you're only planning a short stop on your bike tour, there's a restaurant here with a view of the lake.

In the 12th century, Marquard Spet de Steinenhart, who was named as a witness in a document in 1120, probably built the castle above the village of Steinhart and in 1130 a "Bertholdus Späth, nobilis de Steinhart" was mentioned.
