Small waterfall on the Scheibenbach, shortly before the confluence with the Riedbach, which then forms the Scheidegger waterfalls.

For centuries, the mighty Martinstor has guarded one of the old entrances to the old city republic of Wangen and today delights the eye of many people.

The Martinstor is one of the magnificent Wangen city gates

St. Martins Gate, Wangen im Allgäu At the entrance to Paradiesstrasse is the St. Martin's Gate (named after the patron of the neighboring parish church), now also called Lindauer Tor. It was first mentioned in 1347 as Sweglarstor (after the Sweglar family). Like the Ravensburger Tor, it received its current shape in 1608. It is squatter and more powerful than the latter and has retained some of its original Gothic character. There are remains of the Gothic painting in the doorway. The various tower rooms have recently been restored and furnished. They are used by local clubs.
