Dillingen is a very nice town with some buildings worth seeing. Sebastian Kneipp spent his studies there. A Kneipp circular path remembers him. If you are considering a stop there, the Osteria zur goldenen Traube is highly recommended.

The Brenz is a 52 km long river and flows into the Danube here in Lauingen. The Brenz has its source in the Brenz pot in Königsbronn, a typical karst spring with a large discharge. https://www.die-brenz.de

There where the anchor is on the bank you can very nicely with your dog in the water. :-) Unfortunately the ducks "sniffed" us quite a bit

The Schimmelturm (also sometimes called the Hofturm) was built between 1457 and 1478 and is now Lauingen's landmark. It originally served as a watchtower to have a better overview of the surrounding area.
