For me, a real insider tip in the region, as you can enjoy a great view from the Fremersbergturm, among other places. I also always find the forest area around the mountain and the path to the tower to be a pleasure. The paths are easy to walk and there are always beautiful views of the valley.

This barbecue hut is located on the border between the vineyards and the forest above Eisental. It's the first place on the ascent and the last place on the descent, where it's worth pausing to enjoy the view over the rooftops of Eisental. A new experience every season.

It is not only called Guckenhütt, but also “Schluckehütt” (see front page of the hut), as the hut is located above the vineyard.

Coming from Eisental, there is a short, steep climb through the vineyards. Once you reach the top, you are rewarded with a view of the Vosges. Be careful: cars drive here too.

Beautiful ascent via the Engelssteig. The far-reaching views from the Emil Kern Hütte are extremely beautiful.
