The Welden Ponds were created over 300 years ago and are part of the protected landscape areas in the Landsberg am Lech district. These are ideal for swimming, often very quiet, and offer various hiking options. The largest pond has a restaurant and a large parking lot.

A very beautiful lake. Only one section of the walk around it requires some advanced hiking skills.

There are usually many waterfowl on and around Lake Bachtel, especially swans. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a beaver.

The landscape at Bachtelsee is very beautiful and there are countless swans. Canada and Egyptian geese are often there too. There are beautiful viewpoints and every now and then a beaver can be observed, but its tracks can definitely be seen.

The almost trail winds through the meadows and along the forest. The ground is mostly firm but also a bit bumpy. If you like it traily, you'll get your money's worth here. A few tight curves and a small descent are fun and train your driving skills. In wet weather it will become muddy in parts and you may have to drive through standing water.
