The city park is the central green lung of the large district town. Designed in the first half of the 19th century by Walter Freiherr von Grainger as the exclusive palace park of the Heilig Blut estate, it is now open to all residents and guests. On the swampy forest floor, horse and rider threatened to sink, but were miraculously saved. A spring gushed out where the wildly kicking horse hit solid ground.
