New surface - making it one of the best descents in the whole area. The sharp curves are challenging, but a lot of fun and the gradient ensures a good speed. However, in the evenings and on weekends and public holidays there are many motorized racers on the road who endanger others and themselves with their high spirits - unfortunately a widespread problem here. I would therefore recommend the morning hours - preferably on weekdays. Uphill, this is THE climb to Kaltenbronn that you can torture yourself on

From the large sun terrace you have a wonderful view of the Murg Valley... The cake tastes even better after the hike

Unfortunately, it seems to be closed, but nevertheless, it is at the crossroads of some great trails for hiking and biking.

I have already driven this route Oppenau - Allerheiligen, Ruhestein in both directions this year 2024. If you want to drive this section of the route in a relaxed manner and without heavy traffic, I do not recommend planning it on public holidays such as Easter, Pentecost, Ascension Day or Corpus Christi. Your guide Werner🚵🌲🌄 PS: ALONG THE WAY, stop at viewpoints every now and then and enjoy the views and take photos!!
