Beautiful, fenced hunting lodge. Not open to the public.

The Rosshauhütte was used as accommodation for Herrenberg's forestry workers until 2018, before they moved to the new forestry depot near the Naturfreundehaus. It has been expanded several times for this purpose. It features a recreation room with a stove and tables and benches, a workshop, a garage for the former smaller forestry tractor, an annex serving as storage space, and a shelter for tractor attachments. Today, it is used as a warehouse, and the meadow in front of it is home to the Böblingen district's central timber yard, where the timber submission takes place every year. The hut was certainly lovingly maintained and furnished. However, I found it to be past its prime and smelled very musty. Nevertheless, it was a welcome shelter for a bivouac in nature.

Unfortunately closed. The veranda or the covered patio are ideal for a snack.
