After years without any visible progress, a successful exhibition facility was built in 2015 and 2016 in the heart of Schenkenberg on the site of the former telegraph station, a lasting landmark for the entire town. Indispensable for this were the highly dedicated instigator Wolfgang Groch and a large number of selfless volunteers who lent their hands intensively and donated substantial sums of money.

When the railway underpass or overpass in Werder is built, traffic will roar through here. Until then, this road through the forest is simply beautiful to drive in. And hopefully, after the detour, it won't be completely ruined.

Did I write that there's no beer garden in Kemnitz? No, wrong. Kemnitz has an exemplary beer garden, the Rittmeister. The food has been better. But the beer, which is brewed here on site, provides comfort after a long drive. And the food isn't bad. But it has been more engaging.

A passable bike path. A bit of a silly approach from the roundabout when coming from Groß Kreutz.

I always go the other way, I don't know why. In Emstal, the route goes up the Ofenpass. There's an oven museum there, and sometimes the ovens on display are lit.

The bike path is unnecessary. As soon as you get on it, you have to get back off. There are no suitable ascents or descents for road cyclists. Planning error.

Beautiful route. Cycling can be so beautiful.

The beauty of Derwitz is the tranquility of a place next to the B1 highway. It's very authentic. What's missing (as is the case almost everywhere in Brandenburg) is a beer garden with cool drinks and simply good food.
