INSIDER: The war memorial at Perlach's Pfanzeltplatz is a listed building. It is dedicated to the citizens of Perlach who fell in the Franco-Prussian War, the First and Second World Wars, and the November Revolution of 1918/19: for example, the 12 Perlach men who were shot by the Lützow Free Corps in the Hofbräukeller on May 5, 1919, because they were suspected of being "leftists."

We continue our journey west along Lüdersstraße, cross Heinrich-Lübke-Straße over the pedestrian and cycle path bridge, and cycle along Lorenz-Hagen-Weg, past the Caritas St. Michael's Retirement Home on the left. In front of us, we see the church tower of St. Michael. The larger Perlach district is divided into three districts: (Alt-)Perlach, Waldperlach, and Neuperlach. As the name suggests, the largely listed ensemble around Pfanzeltplatz in (Alt-)Perlach forms the historic town center. Around the square, named after Pastor Martin Pfanzelt (1825–1912), are old farmhouses and the Baroque St. Michael's Church, built between 1728 and 1730. Perlach has managed to retain its village charm over the years. The Perlach ensemble along the Hachinger Bach is one of 19 former village centers in Munich that are listed as historical monuments.

The Riemer See (also known as the Buga Lake or bathing lake in Riemer Park) is an artificially created bathing lake in the east of Munich as part of the 2005 Federal Garden Show. In the new Munich district of Messestadt Riem, the landscape park planned by the French landscape architect Gilles Vexlard, the Riemer Park, was created . The Riemer See lies in the eastern part of this landscape park. It covers a pure water area of approx. 7.7 hectares and is on average 14 m deep, in a few places up to 18 m. The landscape park directly surrounding the lake with the north bank, jetty and beach measures another approx. 6.1 hectares. Source and further information https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riemer_See

One of the leisure highlights in the southeast of Munich: the Hachinger Tal landscape park in the municipal areas of Unterhaching, Neubiberg and Ottobrunn. On the former runway ("Flight") there is space for everyone - runners, walkers, skaters, windsurfers and much more. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landschaftspark_Hachinger_Tal

In the center of Aying, right next to the village church, is the Ayinger Bräustüberl - a traditional Bavarian pub since it was built in 1873. https://www.ayinger-braeustueberl.de/geschichte/

The old village center of Perlach with its history fountain, war memorial and the parish church of St. Michael. Various shops and an ice cream parlor line the area, but unfortunately there is also a lot of traffic on Putzbrunner Straße. The square is named after the pastor Martin Pfanzelt (born April 25, 1825, † August 24, 1912), who was dean, district school inspector and finally an honorary citizen of Perlach from 1869 to 1912. http://perlach.hachinger-bach.de/downloads/Auburger-Pfanzelt15072012.pdf
