The Oberaulenbach moated castle in the Renaissance style is located in the Spessart Nature Park not far from the Unteraulenbach district of the Eschau market. Unfortunately, you can't get all the way to it...private property...fenced

A somewhat arduous climb up the stairs leads to the remains of the walls of the former castle. Good information boards give information about the history and the probable appearance. A rest area is also available here.
