RAF Valley on Anglesey is home to No 4 Flying Training School, responsible for training the UK's next generation of world-class fighter pilots. Aircrew is also trained at RAF Valley for mountain and maritime operations throughout the world. RAF Valley is also home to the Mountain Rescue Service, the military's only high readiness, all-weather search and rescue, aircraft post-crash management asset.

A spectacular spot not just for the scenery, bit as its next to the RAF base you have a good chance to spot some of the jets coming in and out.

A small, pretty lake on Anglesey, Llyn Cerrig Bach is a peaceful place to take a break. It's most famous for a discovery of over 150 Iron Age metal objects in 1942, one of the most important finds of Iron Age metalwork on the British Isles. It's thought they were left in the lake as offerings.
