A beautiful rocky root path leads to Sayn Castle. The castle was used by the Counts of Sayn-Wittgenstein as their family castle in the 12th century. Today, celebrations can be organized by the restaurant and bridal couples can be married in the registry office.

"... The ruins of the spur castle rise up on the approximately 110 meter long and 40 meter wide ridge of the Kehrberg, a foothill of the Westerwald, between the valleys of Brexbach and Saynbach. Below the ruin, the town of Sayn extends to the south and west with Sayn Castle at the foot of the castle hill, a former baroque building from 1757 that was modified in the nineteenth century in the neo-Gothic style. Between the castle and Sayn Castle there are two former manors' residences, the middle castle house from the 15th century, which is connected to the castle by a wall, and the von Steinschen seat (Stein Castle) of the Lords of Stein from Nassau from the 14th century.
