The absolute highlight of this tour is the Reinheimer Teich. A piece of nature where you can relax and unwind. The Reinheimer Teich is a nature reserve northeast of Reinheim in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district. It consists of several open water areas, reed beds, wet meadows and extensive pastures with a total area of around 75 hectares.

Here there is a cozy rest tank on the shore.

The Darmbach, which gave Darmstadt its name and feeds these five fish farming ponds, has its source very close by. All fish species that can be found in a lake live here and of course a few always hungry gray herons. Speaking of hungry: At the other end of the fish ponds is the "fisherman's hut". In the restaurant there you can let yourself be pampered by the friendly innkeepers.

The fairytale pond is an amphibian sanctuary! There are two ponds of different sizes, between them there is a shelter that can be reached via a few steps! There are two more NABU project ponds a stone's throw away, but you don't have to and shouldn't go there!
