Really a nice rest area with a nice shelter. The spring was named after Einhard, who held many positions and offices for Charlemagne. It is a source of drinking water and is located very close to the refuge.

A nice tour in every season. There is an interesting information board on the Schnellerts and it is a great place for a picnic.

The ruins were 800 years ago, early 13th century, a high medieval, Romanesque hill castle on the mountain Schnellerts of the same name in the Gersprenz valley and was destroyed around 1300.
