A small highlight in Rhineland-Palatinate. The almost continuous cycle path is really great.

Visit Döttesfeld

A very attractive route.

Not only the Wiedtal itself is worth a tour. From there you can turn off at several points up to the Westerwaldhöhen and from there you can ski down charming routes with a great view back into the Wiedtal. It's a bit more strenuous, but it's easy to do, especially for e-bikers, and it's almost a must.

Old Bismarck Tower, very well preserved, absolutely worth a visit :)

The Wiedradweg is really beautiful! Not boring, but partly on forest paths, gravel paths, unfortunately also longer road sections on quiet country roads. The Wied always more or less in view, bridges, tunnels, recommended!

With sunglasses you can actually only drive on suspicion and rely on the fact that the ground is flat ;-). But it works perfectly, we read the tip with the light too late ;-).

The old Peterslahr railway tunnel is a relic of the Wiedtalbahn. The cycle path leads through the tunnel, which is also to be illuminated from May 17, 2022.
