Isola della Cona is a peninsula and the heart of the Foce dell’Isonzo regional nature reserve in the province of Gorizia, Italy. Known as Italy’s best area for birdwatching, it offers 2,400 hectares of pristine wetlands, numerous bird species (including geese), wild horses (Camargue horses), and cycling and hiking trails.

An unmarked chasm; you have to know it to know its existence. It is said that in ancient times it was the course of a river, perhaps the Vipava.

Gorizia Castle stands atop the hill that once dominated the surrounding area, after which Gorizia is named. The castle is a magnificent symbol of the city's millennial history, offering magnificent views, valuable furnishings, original works of art and handicrafts, and interesting multimedia facilities.

The Castello Gorizia and the "Borgo Castello" located within the castle are currently being renovated and are not fully accessible. The buildings within the castle enjoy the protection of the castle walls. The Borgo houses a restaurant that invites you to linger. From the castle, you can enjoy beautiful views of Gorizia and Nova Gorizia.

The Piazza della Vittoria is strategically located as Gorizia's main square. Inviting restaurants have settled around the square. Excellently preserved and renovated buildings make the square a first-class gem.
