A very well-maintained and well-preserved wayside shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Such wayside shrines serve as a place of devotion, prayer, and protection for travelers or fields, and are particularly common in rural regions of Europe. They reflect both piety and artisanal traditions and are often historical testimonies to local religious and cultural history. Wayside shrines and wayside crosses are silent witnesses to the Christian faith, whose origins date back to a wide variety of occasions. They are often found along the side of the road, where we often encounter them carelessly or absentmindedly, without consciously perceiving their significance. Great climb, difficult but the view more than makes up for it

The cement kiln plant in Gamp near Hallein was built in 1890 by Max Thury, then General Director of Perlmoser AG, as a stone-built shaft kiln for cement production. The raw material required for production came from the nearby Schrambach strata. The plant was in operation until 1926 and was then shut down. In 2003, it underwent extensive restoration and protection to prevent further deterioration. Today, the building is a listed monument (Object ID 29658) and is the only immovable monument registered in the Hallein-Gamp cadastral municipality. The cement kiln plant is considered an important testament to the region's industrial history and, as a technical monument, attracts visitors interested in industrial architecture and cement production.

The cycle path near Gamp leads away from busy roads through a tranquil river landscape with meadows, groves of trees, and occasional views of the rocky peaks of the Tennengebirge Mountains. The route is mostly flat and well-maintained – ideal for a relaxing ride. The contrast between the open valley along the Salzach River and the steep mountain slopes that rise impressively above it is particularly beautiful. Gamp itself is located in the immediate vicinity of the popular Bluntau Valley, making a short detour or a rest in this unspoiled setting a great option.
