Gerlinde Tunnel, quiet and cool, a breath of concrete, so much. Bright for cyclists, yet fine, take off your sunglasses, you think. Light at the beginning, like a star, deep in the blue of the tunnel's core. Vibrations, wind and breath, legs drifting, heart in rest and yellow. Walls carry a silent echo, where footsteps click, quiet, joyful. Curves sweep, breath follows, until daylight settles at the end. Glasses off, view clear and unobstructed, the trip ends wonderfully. Gerlinde Tunnel, a brief dream, cyclists follow the light's space.

The Kögerlalm high above Dorfgastein promises a great view. Unfortunately, the hut burned down in 2011 and was subsequently rebuilt. From Dorfgastein it takes around two hours to get up to the Kögerlalm. Overnight stays are also possible. More information at https://www.gasteinertal.com/koegerlalm/.

The tip of a tour with the owner of the castle brought us here. Next to the car tunnel there is a separate cycle path tunnel, the Gerlinde Tunnel. This tunnel is used on the Alpe Adria cycle path, among other things.
