Historical crossing between the two historical defence lines, the Eppinger Lines (1695-97) and the Landgraben (1489-92), which are historically almost 200 years apart. The exemplary explanations at this point make the remains that are still visible today really tangible.

The hut now looks very neglected (as of 09/2024). However, the nearby parking lot is very convenient for hikes in and around Mühlacker. From here you also have a good view of the Enz Valley and the former Mühlacker transmitter.

The purpose of the protection is to preserve the character of the Enzaue, which is characterized by meadows, individual trees and groups of trees, and to secure valuable plant locations in the "Burghalde" and on the wooded banks of the Enz through appropriate use.
