Info: To improve fish farming and provide flood protection, two of the three filled ponds were excavated between 1937 and 1942, and a canal was created west of the now three ponds, from the Black Pond to the present-day Triebisch River, with the Faule Pond retention basin, the Kalkmühle (lime mill), and limestone dams at the adjustable pond inflow.
