Beautiful Seerenteich in the Tharandt Forest, surrounded by nature and tranquility. Info: Created as a rafting pond: 1828. Last wooden rafts: 1872. Depth: (at the front of the wall) 8 m. Rafting distance to Dresden: 23 km. It is a former rafting pond in the Tharandt Forest, built in the Seerenbach Valley as a water reservoir for the Weißeritz rafting industry and is now used for fish farming. Of the rafting ponds, only the Seerenteich and the Kleiner Floßteich, which was restored as a biotope after 1990, still exist.

Konstantinteich in Zug. Information: An artificial pond and part of the Freiberg Mining Water Management System. Today, it serves the purpose of distributing raw water for industrial water supply and fish farming. The Konstantinteich is located in the middle of a typical former mining area with spoil heaps and mine shafts.

Triebischsee in the Tharandt Forest. Information: An artificial pond created towards the end of the 20th century. The Triebisch River is dammed here. Weary hikers can rest on comfortable benches along the water's edge and observe dragonflies and other aquatic life. Water lilies also adorn the surface.
