The Stone Cow (next to an information panel and visitor's book) in the Rümpfwald forest. Information: An approximately 200-million-year-old silicified tuff agglomerate of volcanic origin, which took on its present form through weathering processes during the Cretaceous and Tertiary periods. Geological investigations have determined that it is not an artificial formation, but rather a natural one.

Glauchau Reservoir and Mulde Floodplain Nature Reserve. Information: Originally built for industrial use between 1936 and 1938, the reservoir has been restored and is now used for recreation. A circular hiking trail is also available.

Around 1930, a lightly reinforced concrete bridge with a steel girder superstructure was built. During the 1954 flood, it partially collapsed. It was rebuilt and withstood the 2002 flood. However, it was severely damaged by the June 2013 flood. A new bridge was built in 2016/2017.

Gründelteich in Gründelpark. Info: The Gründelteich is the focal point of the complex. A small wooden bridge leads to the island in the middle of the pond. In 1884, the owner of the castle mill, Carl Hedrich, erected a monument here in honor of Count Richard Clemens von Schönburg-Glauchau. There is also a memorial here.

Gründel Pond in Gründel Park in Glauchau. Information: The Gründel Pond forms the centerpiece of the park. Gründel Park is the largest park in the city. Approximately 9.8 hectares in size, it was created as a natural extension of the castle park.

The reservoir, whose construction began in 1936, is located on the site of the former Naundorf Meadows, a typical Mulde floodplain. They were enclosed by a river and a slope on the right side of the Mulde valley between the Schindmaas weir and the town of Glauchau. The Naundorf Meadows were named after a village located on this site in the 13th century. However, the inhabitants probably moved away due to the unfavorable location, exposed to flooding from the Mulde River, and later settled elsewhere.
