Walldürn Castle sits atop a slight hill in the center of Walldürn. It was originally a moated castle dating back to 1168. Starting in 1865, the castle grounds underwent major reconstruction. Today, it houses municipal facilities.

A beautiful old town with magnificent houses, a small pedestrian zone, and more than a dozen historic fountains, Külsheim is also known as the "Fountain City."

The "climb" to the ruins is worth it, with beautiful views of the surrounding area.

The Old Town Hall in Walldürn is a half-timbered building built in 1448 with an original open market hall on the ground floor. The open market hall was closed in 1858. The building is the oldest town hall in Germany in which the mayor has his permanent office. The tourist information office is also located here.

The town hall is housed in Walldürn Castle, which was built in 1865. The castle in turn was built on the remains of a moated castle built in 1168.

Town hall, two-storey, half-timbered house with hip roof and six-sided ridge turret (bell tower), ground floor in ashlar, gables projecting on both sides on corbels, ground floor and rear rebuilt in the middle of the 19th century, upper floor with loft conversion probably originally from the 17th century.
