A long stretch of road through a beautiful forest

The land along the Sava is a swampy area, a flood plain covered throughout history by rich oak forests. Just like the conservatories that we will see shortly, the houses were raised on stilts above the ground due to the risk of flooding. If necessary, the house could be disassembled, taken to another position and assembled again.

The vessel Vodomar docks in Drenovo Boka. It is a 15-meter-long scaffold that is used for educational and tourist purposes for driving along the Sava River. Vodomar can accommodate up to 12 people.

Martinska Ves is a small village on both sides of the river Sava. Surprisingly, the first (and only) bridge between "left" and "right" Martinska Ves was built just 20-something years ago. On a positive side, the hanging bridge is very elegant and primarily built for bikers and pedestrians - as it should in the 21st century. 😎

A chapel in the middle of nothing.

"St. Anthony is the favorite saint of the whole world. He was born in Lisbon as Fernando Saint Anthony of Padua. He got his name because his remains rest in Padua, and his canonization is the fastest in history because he was declared a saint in less than a year after his death. Saint Anthony is a favorite saint in Croatia, some towns address him with special respect as their heavenly patron, and numerous churches and parishes bear his name.
