After three years, Arnstadt's Neideck Tower is fully secured and largely renovated. As the city announced, the 65-meter-high historic building can be visited again.

Molsdorf Palace Park, home to one of the most beautiful Baroque palaces in central Germany, is located south of Erfurt and houses an extensive art collection as well as numerous authentic furnishings from the 18th century. The palace and park are under the care of the Thuringian Palaces and Gardens Foundation. The palace museum is one of the art museums of the city of Erfurt. The palace museum can be visited as part of a guided tour. The castle ruins including the tower are accessible again. Opening times only during the week. Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers are still being sought for the weekend.

For 14 years he called Molsdorf Castle his home. Count Gustav Adolf von Gotter had a moated castle built into a picturesquely situated baroque pleasure palace. But the extravagance of the diplomatic climber ruined the dream and Gotter had to sell the castle. Visitors can visit the museum in the castle with its historical rooms and special exhibitions as part of a guided tour. The symmetrical baroque garden from Gotter's time was later transformed into a landscape park. Some sculptures from the original furnishings have been preserved. When visiting the citadel, you can explore the new exhibition in the commandant's house as well as the listening corridors in the strong walls of the fortress or simply enjoy the fantastic view over the old town. As the crown of the city, the Petersberg has shaped the cityscape of the Thuringian state capital for centuries and is a popular destination for Erfurters and their guests to linger and discover.
