From here you can enjoy views across the River Boyne of the once mighty Dunmoe Castle. The castle is four storeys and dates back to the 15th-century when it was home to the D'Arcy family.
A monastery was founded here by St Patrick. The round tower which dates to the 11th century is the oldest features at this site - the tower is about 26 metres high.
Passes through private fields. Lower than the Navan towpath. Flooding can make it impassable in the winter. Nice views along the river however including those onto Carrickdexter Castle.
