Approximately 2,200 kilometers of waterways run through the Drömling region, which is why it is also called the "Land of a Thousand Ditches." The UNESCO Biosphere Reserve provides a habitat for numerous rare and endangered animal and plant species. The area of the biosphere reserve extends over 450 square kilometers from the southwestern edge of the Altmark region along the Mittelland Canal to the northwest of Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to the waterways, the landscape is characterized by deciduous forests, meadows, fields, and moors. In the Drömling you are almost always alone with yourself and nature. Here you can switch off very well, clear your head and just listen to nature. Most of the paths are very well paved, occasionally with hollows and potholes. Shortly before Buchhorst, the path becomes very narrow and the lane is heavily overgrown with grass, which is why you have to be very careful there.

Well paved bike path that leads through a beautiful landscape. After rainfall you can see standing water in many places (the groundwater level is very high).

The tower is very stable. From the top you have a beautiful view over the Drömling. But the best thing is: you only see the Drömling and maybe a church tower. There you are right in nature.
