The town center of Weiler im Allgäu is compact, well-maintained, and ideal for a short break. Between the market square, fountain, and small shops, you can easily interrupt your tour. If you like, you can quickly find something to drink or pop into a café.

The center of Scheidegg, around Zollstraße, features some beautiful old houses. The town itself lies on a high plateau and is the westernmost resort town in the Allgäu region.

Beautiful route and beautiful views - surface a bit rough

When the Allgäu weather gods are kind, the view all the way to the Oberstdorf mountains is breathtaking. It's always quiet here, and from Niso, there are several beautiful routes to Kempten. However, I always ride the climb from Hellengerst to Ettensberg; the climb is more pleasant there, and the descent to Niso is simply breathtaking.

It gets steeper, but it's still a long way to go until you actually reach the top. Both towards Hellengerst and towards Osterhofen and Weitnau.
