The stone staircase as access to the lake is difficult to ski down because the steps are irregular and short, if you do not want to push it is best to ski right next to the steps

At this point a wooden plank leads over the Karrachbach. Information on the European water system and the Rhine-Danube European watershed that runs along it is also attached to a tree. One day the Karrachbach, which also feeds the nearby Karrachsee, flows over the Danube into the Black Sea.

You can clearly see a hill-shaped elevation on the Karrachsee shore. There used to be a "castle" here, or at least a country tower. The land tower was supposed to secure the close border between the Free Imperial City of Rothenburg and the County of Ansbach. The explanation sign says "Southwest" twice - it's more like the southeast corner of the lake. The ditch also ran southeast of the lake.

This is where the border between the Free Imperial City of Rothenburg and the Margraviate of Ansbach once ran. Today there is not much left of the border walls, but they were once relatively powerful bulwarks.
