Windsheim craftsmen built the town hall between 1713 and 1717 under the Ansbach master mason Johann Michael Aspacher and his foreman Giovanni Rigaglia. Hoheneck Castle is now used as a youth educational center and cannot be visited from the inside. But the castle in the vineyard is also a beautiful sight from the outside.

The New Town Hall on the market square. Every day at 12 noon you can hear and see the billy goat on the town hall. 🐐

The romantic old town of Bad Windsheim with its old walls and beautiful half-timbered houses is definitely worth a visit!

Hoheneck Castle is used as a youth education center and is currently being renovated (part of it is under scaffolding). It was particularly beautiful when it snowed and there were no other visitors/hikers around. You should definitely walk around the castle, it is particularly worth it for the wonderful view when the weather is clear. On "special days" the castle can also be visited.
