"The Wiesbüttsee is located on the border between the Hessian and Bavarian Spessart. The lake is fed underground from the Wiesbüttmoor. Its natural overflow leads the water over the Wiesbüttgraben into the Aubachtal. A nature reserve was created behind the Wiesbüttsee, which is home to many plants, some of which are endangered, and a narrow moor that stretches for around 2 km. The area around the Wiesbüttsee nature reserve is one of the last high moors in Germany. It also offers a camping opportunity.
