The section of the cycle path from the Tisza to the Danube leads from the Krems Bridge through a densely vegetated landscape, where the path winds between tall grasses and overhanging trees. In places, the vegetation reaches right up to the path, conveying a sense of seclusion and tranquility. This section is particularly attractive for cyclists, as it offers an intense nature experience and impressively conveys the transition from the open countryside to the Danube.

The parish church of St. Severin in Krems-Lerchenfeld, dedicated to Mary, Queen of the Universe, was built between 1954 and 1959 according to plans by the architect Julius Bergmann. The building is a single-nave hall church with a rectangular floor plan, a natural stone facade, and a tower-like central section. A three-arched vestibule with mosaics of the symbols of the Evangelists forms the entrance. Inside, a bright, simple interior design, a beamed ceiling, and a large apse mosaic of the Virgin Mary as "Queen of the Universe" characterize the overall impression. Colored glass windows and modern sacred art complement the furnishings. The church belongs to the Krems deanery of the Diocese of St. Pölten and was the parish church of the Krems-Lerchenfeld parish until 2023, when it was merged with the St. Paul parish.

Stein an der Donau, now a district of Krems, is a historic town that is particularly attractive for cyclists and culture enthusiasts. Along the Danube Cycle Path, picturesque views of the river, the surrounding vineyards, and the expansive landscape open up. The old town boasts well-preserved buildings, winding alleys, and striking landmarks such as the Steiner Gate and the Parish Church of St. Nicholas.
