Mirandela, known as the "Princess of the Tua," is a charming town located on the banks of the Tua River in the Trás-os-Montes region. At the top of this hill is the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Assunção, a hermitage that is reached by using a beautiful stone road that reaches the top. The views of the area are spectacular with the Valle do Tua at the foot.
