🌉 The log bridge at Bagno Lake is one of the most charming and quaint relics from the heyday of the Steinfurt Bagno. It serves as one of two historical access points to Arion Island.

Name The name is based on the centuries-old field name Driland ("dri" = three), which was already recorded on maps around 1865 and refers to the meeting of Westphalia, the former county of Bentheim and the Dutch province of Overijssel.

Danger always floats along Metelen/Heek-Nien... Summer temperatures like those of the past few days and the relatively good water quality of the three large lakes in the municipality attract many water lovers to swim. In doing so, they ignore bans - because, as Andreas Joost from the municipality emphasizes, none of the lakes are officially designated as bathing waters. The accident last weekend at Strönfeldsee (Heeker See) showed how dangerous swimming in an unsupervised place and especially on quarry lakes with their cliff edges and sometimes unpredictable currents can be.

The Steinfurter Bagno is a park near Steinfurt in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is part of the "Bagno - Buchenberg" nature reserve. A special attraction is the concert hall in Steinfurt's Bagno.
