6월 17, 2025, Schwabinger Bach Waterfall
The Eisbach and Schwabinger Bach are two artificially created waterways in Munich's English Garden, fed by the Isar River. The Eisbach is best known for its famous standing wave, considered a unique urban surfing spot. The Schwabinger Bach flows through the northern part of the English Garden and is a popular place for walking, relaxing, and water sports. Both streams contribute significantly to the park's recreational and natural atmosphere.

A beautiful section along the Isar, with constant views of the river, the gravel banks and the many rapids.

A wonderful view of the Isar! Stop briefly and capture the beautiful perspectives of the river. Ideal place for beautiful photos.

The view from the bridge magically attracts cameras. 100 pictures of the Isar but none of the bridge itself. It's a good thing that Mapillary exists, with street views you can create yourself. https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=395284705905357

Magnificent view of the Isar, as can be seen in the pictures. Unfortunately, the cycle and footpath is full of potholes in early summer 2023

A highlight in many ways - great photo opportunity, even from afar through the open meadow "Am Durchblick" - nice stop in front of the castle by the pond without consumption or inside in the café - is on the Würmradweg-Nord between Pasing and Allach-Untermenzing in a north-south direction - east-west direction the castle is at the western end of the green belt "Durchblick" to Nymphenburg Palace and to the east to Langwieder See Where Munich cyclists like to ride, including insider tips. - link to the map: https://t1p.de/radlvorrangnetz - app "MunichWays":

Magnificent view of the small waterfall. - The Eisbach wave with the surfers is a little further up, directly on Prinzregentenstrasse. - Walk from here across the large meadow to Monopteros. - By bike: The best route by bike through the English Garden is not easy to find. - Link to the map: https://t1p.de/radlvorrangnetz - “MunichWays” app: - https://t1p.de/Google-MunichWays - https://t1p.de/Apple-MunichWays

If the English Garden is only the 8th largest park in the world (Statista 2014), it is still the most beautiful because it is in Munich. For me, the northern part is the most beautiful. There is less hustle and bustle and you can lie down and enjoy the sun and the peace. I now have a dog and the dog is allowed to play with other dogs in the northern part (near the Aumeister) without a leash.

3월 7, 2021, New Town Hall (Munich)
Year of construction and architecture: The New Town Hall on Marienplatz was only completed in 1905 in the neo-Gothic architectural style that was popular at the time. The architect was Georg von Hauberrisse. Highlights: The panoramic view from the observation tower and the carillon. The outer facade show Munich's city history. The Prunkhof can be reached both from Marienplatz and from the Weinstrasse: the mosaic of its floor forms a huge labyrinth. The staircase of the ages on the west side of the courtyard symbolizes the different stages of life: from the little boy to the hunchbacked old man.

The lying waterfall with its stone setting was created by the well-known Munich designers, the landscape architects Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell (one of the fathers of the English Garden) and Andreas von Gärtner in the years 1813-15. A few meters away, the visitor will find a display board with a postcard of this location from around 1900.

12월 14, 2020, New Town Hall (Munich)
In addition to the Olympic Stadium, the Chinese Tower and the Oktoberfest, it is certainly one of the most famous landmarks of the city, equipped with great architecture and lots of flair. There is a virtual tour of the town hall at https://www.muenchen.de/rathaus/Stadtinfos/Rundgang-durch-das-Neue-Rathaus.html
