A stop at the Alpengasthof is definitely worth it. Nice friendly service and good food. There is also a playground for the little ones. Simply TOP.

The Gleinalmschutzhaus is located on the Gleinalmsattel in the middle of mountains. You can also spend the night at the Gleinalm refuge to start a hike or something else the next morning. Cycling is not allowed to this shelter, but once a year there is a mountain mass in the adjacent Gleinalm church, where you can and may ride to the shelter. This is also used by many who like to ride a bike. The service is fast and friendly, the food is delicious and you can enjoy your time spent up here. From here you can also start many hikes. For example on the Speikkogel, Lenzmoarkogel, Roßbachkogel, Lärchkogel,...

Wonderful food combined with a wonderful view. Host and staff are very attentive and friendly, really good service. I can also recommend the inn for an overnight stay.

In 2021 the hut will be open on Saturday and Sunday (last day October 26th) - there are delicious delicacies such as roast pork, cream soup, snacks, cakes, but also Sturm and cocktails. The rush is great, on a nice day there isn't much left in the afternoon.
