The Volkeinzer Hut is located at the end of the Villgraten Valley / Winkeltal valley, surrounded by beautiful nature, it is the starting point for numerous mountain peaks and mountain lakes and an insider tip for gourmets. The hut owner cooks himself. Mainly game dishes (supplied by local hunters) Lamb dishes (around 700 lambs graze all around) The crispy pork ribs have become an insider tip Vegetarians are not left out either

Very nice hut with delicious home-made cakes. The perfect starting point for long mountain hikes. Picturesquely located in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Of course closed in winter, but if there is little risk of avalanches, it is a worthwhile destination with a dry place to take a break.

Due to the loose, partly very washed-out subsoil with coarse gravel, it is also technically demanding uphill! A total of 5 water points along the way 👌! At the top, enduro fans can choose to descend via the Peter Sagan Trail

A nice place to take a break and enjoy the panorama of the Linz mountains.

Easy to reach with the chairlift. First lab station on the way home; here I drank the most delicious buttermilk after my lightning tour of Böse Weibele.
