A very nice rest stop on the Hohe Straße. When the Hohe Straße was still an old trade route, this was the last place for merchants to rest before they arrived in Frankfurt.

The Old Airfield (formerly Maurice Rose Airfield) in Frankfurt's Green Belt is a former American military airfield used until 1992. It covers an area of approximately 4.5 hectares and lies within the districts of Frankfurt-Bonames and Frankfurt-Kalbach-Riedberg. After its closure, it was transformed into a nature and recreation area in 2003/04 by the "Green Belt" project group and the GTL Landscape Architects office, for which they received the German Landscape Architecture Prize in 2005.

The steles are meant to represent a barcode that we see on almost every product today. The sculpture is meant to represent the goods that were once transported along the Hohe Straße.

As is now common practice in many places, the Limes border is redrawn. It's really good to see where it once ran.

There are beautiful views of the Taunus and Wetterau mountains. Many cyclists and walkers also stop here, so you'll always get to chat with friendly people.
