Simple hut, which is run on a voluntary basis by members of the St. Pölten Mountain Association. Open from early May to early November on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. When the hut is not open, there is a freely accessible winter room with two beds available. We were given a very friendly welcome. The hut is right next to the summit of the Türnitzer Höger.

Simple but very rustic hut, where you are greeted very warmly after a strenuous climb. The ascent routes are all strenuous, but the view is truly sensational. You can see a large part of the Lower Austrian (pre-)Alps. I have enjoyed the tour to this hut several times!

The view from the Türnitzer Hut and from the summit cross right next to it is tremendous! Coming from the forest road you have to carry the last approx. 200 hm with a 34% incline for almost 1/2 hour, but it's worth it and you can of course drive back down. The hut located at 1372 m is an Alpine Club hut. It is only open from the beginning of May to the end of October and here only on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
