The romantic Vichtenstein Castle is located in the center of Vichtenstein, just a few meters from the Donausteig. Today the castle is owned by the Schulz-Wulkow family, who also live there. The castle cannot be visited!

The castle is located on a steep slope on the left side of the Danube. The three-storey, rectangular main building with a round tower bears the year 1586 in the courtyard. The elongated south wing connects to this.
