The Hollbruck Lakes lie at an elevation of approximately 2,200 to 2,300 meters. They're not a dramatic postcard scene, but rather a place for lovers of the quiet, unpretentious beauty of the Alps. Anyone passing them on a hike should take time for a break – their special atmosphere makes them a true highlight of the region.

The ascent via trail number 15 in the high valley floor is partly rocky and leads over a few bends to the so-called Restlangarten at an altitude of 2,241 meters. From there, the route continues over blocks and slabs to the lake. Alpine experience and the right equipment are absolutely necessary.

The Zupalsee is right next to the Zupalseehütte. I don't quite understand why an extra highlight is set here now, since both belong together.

A great destination. Easy to reach and located directly on the Zupalsee. In addition, you have a wonderful view from here. The Zupalseehütte is managed and open in summer.

A trip to the Zupalseehütte is a MUST. The Tschoner family (the hut's host family) are great. Very caring and the food is also excellent. The view over the mountains is unique, as is the lake. If you like the ice-cold water, you should give it a try. If you're lucky, a marmot will run towards you. 🏔🇦🇹❤️🍻

The hut is located on a premium balcony with a view of the Großvenediger and the Reichenspitz Group. Here you can find probably the largest Kaiserschmarrn in the entire Alpine region (ordered and not delivered on August 25, 2021).

Long, but not difficult to walk from Speikbodenhütte. After the first steep ascent, the path is always leisurely along the slope with a slight incline over the alpine meadows. Great panorama included and very quiet and not very knowledgeable. The Gritz lakes are very pretty, the flat meadow around them invites you to take a break. From the lakes, a path continues over the Törl into the neighboring valley (transition Lasörlinghütte / Lasörlinghöhenweg).
