슐로스 발트라이히스는 1258년에 처음으로 문서에 언급되었습니다. 1400년경에는 카스파르 폰 발트라이히스와 베른하르트 폰 발트라이히스가 봉신으로 언급됩니다. 1446-1448년 귀족들의 집행 군대에 의한 파괴 후, 1450년경 한스 하라서(Hans Harrasser)에 의해 요새로 재건되었습니다. 이 시기 동쪽 구역의 현재 폐허, 예배당, 동쪽 탑이 만들어졌습니다. 1460년 빈첸츠 스토돌리그(Vinzenz Stodoligk)에게 봉토로 주어졌습니다. 1519-1536년에는 오텐슈타인 영지와 통합되었습니다. 1530-1534년에는 에우스타흐 스토돌리그(Eustach Stodoligk)의 지휘 아래 수성(水城)으로 개조되었습니다. 1533년부터는 자유 자영지가 되었습니다. 1536년 이 시설은 알테나 남작(Freiherren von Altena)에게 넘어갔고, 그들은 성벽(Zwinger)과 농장(Meierhof)을 추가하여 확장했습니다. 황제 군대에 의한 점령과 약탈 후, 이 시설은 다시 재건되었고 이후 소유주가 자주 바뀌었습니다. 1815년 하인리히 폰 페레이라-아른슈타인(Heinrich von Pereira-Arnstein)에게 넘어갔을 때, 베츨라스 영지와 통합되었습니다.

The Bachlweg is no longer an official trail. Stream crossings are difficult due to flooding, as the stream has changed significantly. You simply have to wade through. It's still worth it, though; a great scenic tour, and technically easy.

This lake is near Ottenstein and has caused a lot of misery in 2024

the section from Tautendorf to Stiefern beside Stiefernbach is a tough ride and most properly not suitable for beginners. There are some challenging stream crossings and don't be surprised if you have to overcome some obstacles

We read somewhere that this dam would no longer be approved today. Nevertheless, the lake fits well into the landscape. It has a strange, branched shape!

The castle is idyllically situated on the cycle paths and is perfectly embedded in the landscape.

At the time of our visit, the restaurant was closed. Great location with the best view of the lake.
