Please do not deface it!!! Below Hartenstein Castle lies the Gudenus Cave, which was carved out of the riverbank and inhabited by Neanderthals during the Stone Age. Traces of settlement dating back almost 100,000 years were discovered there, including hand axes and other tools. Due to historical preservation, the bridge could no longer be rebuilt unless the cave was sealed.

Along the official "Hunderwasser" mountain bike tour, you will find this small house in Hundertwasser style. A sign provides information about it. And the whole thing is of course a great photo opportunity. Definitely a highlight of this route.

We read somewhere that this dam would no longer be approved today. Nevertheless, the lake fits well into the landscape. It has a strange, branched shape!
