The Rattendorfer Alm in the Carnic Alps is surrounded by idyllic alpine meadows where cows graze in summer. The homemade cheese is particularly popular. The gorge is really beautiful and the best thing is that the water of the mountain stream is really drinkable! Only the "round trip" is not recommended.

The Weißensee is 11.6 kilometers long; at its widest point it measures 900 meters, at its deepest 99 meters. With a mixing depth of 40-60 m, it is a meromictic body of water. Its surface area is 6.5 square kilometers and its catchment area covers 46 square kilometers. Only a third of its 23-kilometer-long shore is built on (western part of the lake and the Ortsee on the eastern shore), the rest is under nature and landscape protection. There is no through road along the lake shore, only a narrow, sometimes steep path connects the Ronacherfels (eastern end of the road) with the eastern shore, which is otherwise only accessible through the Weißenbachtal from the Drautal side.
