The core of the castle goes back to a medieval defense tower and was expanded into a manor house in the 16th century under the barons of Königsberg. The castle used to have a spacious park with a pond and an attached nursery. The castle is currently used by the Burgenland Dental Association and the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences.
