Waidhofen is always worth a stay

After visiting the impressive lookout tower and the Prochenhütte, be sure to visit the summit cross. The panorama is breathtaking and alpine. It's recommended to leave your bike at the bottom just before the final climb. If it's not too heavy, you can also carry or push it up for a summit photo; it's not far.

Great routing of a wonderful route. Via Verde through a wonderful landscape. It could be like this a lot more often, there are still enough disused railway lines.

The castle houses a local history museum and Ernst Urschitz's historical weapons collection with over 400 exhibits in the castle tower. The 23 m high tower also serves as a viewing tower with a panoramic view of the Mostviertel.

A worthwhile destination for a tour or a detour beyond the main route. A pretty, tranquil town with some sights. You can linger a while in this place, there is a lot to discover! It's worth it!

The city has a lower and upper market, beautiful town houses and cafes. A popular weekly market takes place on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

With its Gothic chapel, columned hall and defense tower, Ulmerfeld Castle is a jewel of medieval architecture. In summer, concerts and theater performances take place in the romantic arcaded courtyard. The west wing shows the cultural side of the palace. Exhibitions and a historical weapon collection of the armourer Ernst Urschitz are shown there.
